The reference laboratory at Orange Laboratories is committed to the reliability, trustworthiness, honesty, and business integrity expected of a federally funded healthcare program participant. Our policy is to provide physicians with the flexibility to choose appropriate tests, ensuring that the convenience of ordering profiles and panels does not distance physicians from making deliberate decisions regarding medically necessary tests.

A fully automated, random access clinical chemistry analyzer with all the benefits of Olympus Systems Compatibility. With a throughput of 400 photometric tests per hour, the system provides high-performance analysis, including STAT capability, in a compact package for small and medium size laboratories.

Consumer demand for higher-quality products has led to the implementation of stricter government regulations and oversight in order to ensure safety and product conformity. The triple quad LCMS-8040 has stepped up to the challenges of high-throughput sensitive routine analysis, and can analyze a 226-pesticide mixture in less than two minutes, making it an ideal instrument for meeting a laboratory’s demanding requirements.

Ethyl Glucuronide (EtG) and Ethyl Sulfate (EtS) are biomarkers, produced by the liver, and are evidence of alcohol (ethanol) ingestion. Its presence in urine may be used to detect ethanol ingestion, even after ethanol is no longer measurable. The presence of EtG and EtS in urine is an indicator that ethanol was ingested and can be detected in urine for up to 1-5 days after ingestion.
Orange Toxicology tests and reports EtS, in conjunction with EtG, to confirm recent ethanol ingestion or exposure. The detection of EtG and EtS offers greater sensitivity and accuracy for determination of recent ethanol ingestion, than by detection of either biomarker alone.

We utilize the most sophisticated, sensitive, and specific equipment and technology available. After first screening for presumptive positives, we quantitatively confirm EtG/EtS by LC-MS/MS (liquid chromatography — tandem mass spectrometry). This combination of separate screening and confirmation methods provides highly accurate alcohol biomarker test results.
